We are looking for a dedicated Floral Processor to join our team and help us maintain our high standards. Job Summary The Floral Processor will be responsible for processing incoming shipments of flowers, preparing orders for customers, and maintaining the quality and freshness of our floral inventory. This role requires knowledge of flower varieties and cut flower care procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about the floral industry.

Key Responsibilities Receive and Inspect Shipments:

Receive incoming shipments of flowers and inspect them for quality, freshness, and any signs of damage or disease. Check the accuracy of the received items against purchase orders.

Sort and Organize:

Sort and organize flowers based on their type, variety, and quality. Remove any damaged or wilted flowers and separate different varieties to ensure efficient processing.

Hydration and Care:

Place flowers in clean water to ensure hydration and maintain their freshness. Monitor water levels and change the water regularly to prevent the buildup of bacteria and maintain optimal hydration.

Order Preparation:

Prepare flowers for storage, transportation, or sale by packaging them in appropriate buckets or boxes. Label buckets with relevant information such as customer names. Accurately pull and pack orders for delivery or customer pick-up, ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of floral inventory, including incoming and outgoing flowers, supplies, and accessories. Report any discrepancies and monitor the condition of flowers to ensure quality.

Quality Control:

Inspect processed flowers to ensure they meet quality standards, such as freshness, color, and overall appearance. Remove any damaged or subpar flowers and make replacements when necessary.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment regularly to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Dispose of waste materials properly, such as wilted flowers and trimmings.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Assist customers with inquiries and provide product recommendations, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications :

Experience:

Previous experience in a floral or wholesale environment is preferred. Knowledge of flower varieties and cut flower care procedures is essential.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Availability:

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
