Junior Florist Position Overview:

We are hiring a Junior Florist to join our team in Akron! This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about creating beautiful floral arrangements and has a keen eye for detail. As a Junior Florist, you will assist in designing, arranging, and delivering stunning floral pieces for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior florists in creating unique and beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events
• Prepare flowers by cleaning, trimming, and conditioning them for maximum freshness and longevity
• Learn how to properly use tools such as clippers, wire cutters, and ribbon to create different types of arrangements
• Help with the maintenance of flowers by watering them regularly and keeping the work area clean and organized
• Deliver flowers to customers' homes or event venues while ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service
• Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, taking orders, and managing inventory

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred
• Previous experience in a florist shop or related field is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of different types of flowers, their care instructions, and design techniques is desirable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team setting
• Must be physically fit as this role involves standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects What we offer: This is a full-time position with accommodation provided.
