Floral Designer

Blooms by Trendz is seeking an experienced and highly creative Floral Designer to join our team full-time. We are looking for someone with strong design instincts, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to create elevated floral work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position is ideal for a designer who is passionate about artistry, takes pride in exceptional customer experiences, and can execute both everyday floral designs and sophisticated sympathy work with professionalism, efficiency, and compassion. Serving both retail customers and seven area funeral homes, our work requires a designer who can balance creativity with precision while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities

• Design and create premium fresh floral arrangements for everyday occasions, sympathy services, holidays, and special events
• Produce elegant sympathy work including standing sprays, wreaths, easels, casket sprays, memorial arrangements, and custom funeral tributes
• Maintain exceptional floral quality through proper flower processing, hydration, and care techniques
• Execute high-quality designs efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
• Provide warm, professional, and compassionate customer service in person and by phone
• Prepare floral orders accurately and beautifully for delivery
• Maintain a polished, organized, and visually appealing workspace and cooler environment
• Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and daily floral operations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely order completion
• Uphold company standards for professionalism, presentation, reliability, and customer experience Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of professional floral design experience required
• Sympathy and funeral design experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create refined, high-quality floral work consistently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to receive feedback constructively and continue developing professionally
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work independently while maintaining elevated design standards
• Availability to work holidays and peak floral seasons
• Availability to work every third Saturday as part of a rotating schedule Preferred Experience
• Knowledge of premium floral processing and flower care techniques
• Experience with floral POS and order management systems
