Florist

Midway Market is more than a grocery store — it's a neighborhood hub built on pride, consistency, mutual respect, and community. We're hiring a Florist to lead our floral department and bring beauty, creativity, and warmth to every arrangement.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll design stunning floral arrangements, manage inventory and vendor relationships, maintain department presentation, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

We're building a team of multi-faceted individuals who take pride in their work and are willing to help across departments — whether that means jumping in to assist with stocking, checking, or supporting other areas of the store when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and create custom floral arrangements for everyday sales, special occasions, weddings, and events
• Manage floral inventory — ordering, receiving, rotating, and maintaining freshness
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for flowers and supplies
• Ensure the floral department is clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Provide outstanding customer service and floral consultation
• Support other store departments as needed — we're a team-first operationQualifications
• 2+ years of professional floral design experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of flower varieties, care techniques, and seasonal availability
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a department
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
