About URBANcoast URBANcoast is a design studio specializing in elevated event stationery, invitations, branding, and custom design experiences. We create thoughtful, sophisticated designs that celebrate life's most treasured moments and milestones. We are seeking a talented Part-Time Graphic Designer to join our team in-studio and play an integral role in both the creative and production sides of our business. Position Overview This role is ideal for a highly creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a hands-on studio environment. The Part-Time Graphic Designer will work directly with clients to bring their vision to life through custom invitation suites, event stationery, branding projects, and other design work. From concept development to final production and delivery, you'll help oversee the design process while ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standard. Responsibilities Design custom invitation suites, event stationery, signage, branding materials, and printed pieces for a variety of events and occasions. Meet with clients to understand their vision, aesthetic preferences, and project goals. Translate client inspiration and vision boards into unique, personalized designs. Create original designs tailored to each project rather than relying on templates or cookie-cutter solutions. Guide projects through the design process from concept and revisions to final production. Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with printers and vendors as needed. Ensure deadlines are met. Assist with assembly of finished products when needed - including duplexing, edging, spray painting, packaging, and mailing. Maintain quality control throughout production and fulfillment. Run occasional errands to local vendors/production partners as needed. Assist with general studio organization and upkeep. Qualifications Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator is required. Ability to work independently and proactively is required. Strong graphic design portfolio showcasing sophisticated, detail-driven work. Ability to adapt design styles to various client aesthetics and creative directions. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable working in a client-facing role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build relationships with clients and guide them through the design process. Hands-on print production or stationery experience is a plus.
