Job Description

Position Summary The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing incoming email orders, communicating with customers to clarify project details, creating and revising artwork, and keeping design projects moving efficiently from concept through production. This position serves as the primary designer for the shop and plays a critical role in maintaining workflow, supporting production, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities Design & Project Management Serve as the primary graphic designer for the shop. Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously. Create, revise, and prepare artwork for print production. Handle complex design projects requiring creativity and problem-solving. Ensure artwork is accurate, print-ready, and completed on schedule. Review proofs and make revisions as needed. Email Order Management Monitor incoming email orders throughout the day. Assess priorities and identify urgent requests. Gather information necessary to move projects forward. Ensure new orders are entered and progressing appropriately. Customer Communication Professionally communicate with customers regarding design projects. Clarify specifications, gather missing information customers don't know to tell you. Provide updates and maintain realistic expectations. Take phone calls related to customer projects and design work. Quotes & Order Changes Create quotes for orders as needed. We do a lot of custom work so quotes require expert problem solving and detail oriented candidates. Follow up on pending estimates and approvals. Help ensure projects remain organized and moving forward.
Production Support Assist with:
Bindery and finishing. Production support. Keeping machines running efficiently. Meeting shop deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Required Skills Adobe Illustrator Adobe InDesign Adobe Photoshop Strong typography and layout skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Customer service experience Preferred Experience Print production knowledge File preparation for commercial printing Experience with wide-format printing, bindery, and finishing Experience working in a fast-paced environment Experience in a print shop preferred Key Characteristics Successful candidates are: Organized and dependable. Pay:
$23.02 - $27.72 per hour
