Job Description

Seeking a Graphic Designer who is skilled in the creation and editing of effective PRINT marketing, advertising and communications solutions with an excellent command of layout, typography, iconography, and information architecture. This position is focused on print materials. We are seeking candidates that can create these print materials from scratch (not just editing a template) The designer helps concept and create a variety of multi-channel print campaigns/marketing collateral including brochures, booklets, flyers, presentations, corporate identity and other communications materials. Majority of this position is around Graphic Editing & Production Responsible for concepting, designing and producing a variety of marketing communications for print, environmental and digital as well as other collateral and advertising campaign materials. Contributes to the continual improvement of the creative production workflow, processes and systems of the Creative Team including the structure and organization of design files. Document processes and best practices. Works with vendors and partners such as printers, agencies and others to complete production and fulfillment of projects. This position is a 1+ year contract with our Healthcare customer in Canton, Maryland. Weekly office visits is required on Wednesdays, along with a design portfolio. Required Skills
  • Must have a portfolio or work examples that demonstrates a proficiency in creating compelling marketing communications for a wide variety of media and audiences
  • Experience:
    5 years of Graphic Design/Editing experience. Seeking strong expertise in PRINT creation from scratch (not template editing)
  • Strong background in creating print materials (from scratch) like post cards, brochures, booklets, flyers, presentations, corporate identity and other communications materials.
  • Experience working in a marketing department, in-house creative team or advertising agency.

Software:
PowerPoint and Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) Top 5 Required Skills 1.
Strong Prepress & File Preparation Knowledge:
Must understand proper file setup for print and digital, including bleeds, trim, color modes (CMYK/RGB/spot), resolution requirements, and exporting/packaging files correctly for vendors. 2. Advanced Proficiency in
Adobe Creative Suite:
Deep working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • including master pages, paragraph/character styles, grids, linked assets, smart objects, and efficient file management.
3. Exceptional Attention to
Detail:
Ability to catch inconsistencies, maintain strict brand standards, ensure alignment/spacing accuracy, and serve as the final quality-control checkpoint before files are released. 4.
Versioning & Asset Management Experience:
Comfortable producing high volumes of variations (resizing, copy swaps, localization), managing naming conventions, and keeping files organized within established systems. 5.
Efficiency & Process-Driven Workflow:
Able to work quickly within templates and brand systems, follow established processes, manage tight deadlines, and deliver production-ready files with minimal oversight.
Preferred:
  • MAC Book
  • Health insurance experience (Specifically Medicare/Medicaid)
  • Understanding of ADA and 508 accessibility standards with the ability to create content that meets WC3 requirements.
