Full-Time About the Position Elite Manufacturing Technologies is seeking an experienced Prototype Press Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses to produce prototype and low-volume production components for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prototype manufacturing, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Perform die changes, press setups, and process adjustments to achieve required part quality. Verify part dimensions using measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Work closely with engineering and tooling departments during prototype development. Troubleshoot tooling, material, and process issues to maintain quality and productivity. Complete first-piece inspections and document results. Maintain a safe and organized work area. Assist with die maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development activities. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience operating stamping presses in a prototype, low-volume, or automotive manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic press operations. Experience performing complete press setups and die changes. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience Automotive prototype manufacturing. 2pc , 3pc , 4pc die setup . Die barbering Prototype tooling development and validation. Working with high-strength steel, aluminum, and specialty materials. Benefits Competitive pay based on experience.
