Job Description

SEG Systems, a leading manufacturer and distributor of lightboxes, graphics and retail solutions, is seeking a Graphic Operations Manager for our Charlotte, NC facility. The right candidate will have strong leadership skills, problem solving abilities, experience with large-format digital printing, digital file management, graphics finishing techniques, lean manufacturing practices and organization skills. Daily/General Tasks:
  • Complete management responsibility of the Graphics Department & maintains a high-level of quality and service by: o Works with each functional Manager to insure internal and external deadlines are being met for customers. o Works to reduce waste through process improvements reduce material waste. o Staff must produce high quality products (color output, material, print & finishing quality).
  • Develop high-level maintenance plans and SOP for all print, finishing & sewing equipment.
  • Analyzes quality issue reports & identifies areas for improvement in the department.
Strategic Planning/Improvements:
  • Deploy and enhance lean management tools and process.
  • Stays up to update on all large-format digital graphics technologies.
  • Identify possible opportunities for improvement in the department.
  • Works with functional Managers to create efficiencies and production workflows to accommodate a fast-paced, growing workload.
  • Build strategic roadmap for capacity and capability within our business.
  • Works with Product Development to test materials and create new product solutions.
  • Research cutting-edge Graphics equipment with enterprise VP of Graphic Operations.
Team Development & Staffing:
  • Responsible for hiring & training new employees.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, developing employees and offering career advancement opportunities as they are available.
  • Responsible for providing mentorship and guidance to functional Managers within the department.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience with large-format printer equipment and a solid knowledge of UV printing processes, heat press & dye-sublimation printing
  • Experience with color management & color profiling, G7 experience a plus
  • Experience with the following programs: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, RIP software such as Caldera, Ergosoft, Fiery and pre-production software such as T-flow.
  • Management experience with a medium to large sized team (80+ people)
  • Experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
