Carding Machine Specialist

Job Title:

Carding Machine Specialist Job Summary:

The Nonwoven Carding Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining carding equipment used in the production of nonwoven fabrics. This role ensures consistent product quality, efficient machine operation, and adherence to safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate carding machines to process fibers into uniform webs for nonwoven production Monitor machine settings, fiber feed, and web formation to ensure product quality Adjust machine parameters (speed, tension, feed rate, etc.) as needed to meet specifications Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance Troubleshoot operational issues and minimize downtime Conduct quality checks and document production data Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in nonwoven manufacturing or textile carding preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and follow technical instructions and production specifications Basic math and measurement skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods Capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs) Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, heat)

Work Environment:

Manufacturing/production facility May require shift work, including nights, weekends, or overtime

Pay:

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
