Senior Graphic Designer with Packaging and Production Experience

Position Overview:

ArtSkills, Inc., is seeking a talented, collaborative, and energetic Senior Graphic Designer with strong package design and production experience to work in our fun, fast-paced, and energetic art department in Bethlehem, PA. RESPONSIBILITIES

Creation of new packaging design incorporating fresh ideas while effectively communicating product features and maintaining brand image Heading and organizing a program, inclusive of directing a team of designers and junior designers. Making recommendations on the best and most cost-effective way to solve design challenges while maintaining brand aesthetic. Create packaging concepts, graphics and any visual elements: sketches, prototypes, comps Offer creative layouts and designs within short timelines Accept and implement Art Director's and Creative Director's corrections and suggestions. Effectively manage project timelines for self and others. Illustrate and communicate packaging concepts about our products. Determine appropriate means to produce the desired visual effect and the production methods Build and maximize relationships with cross-functional teams of Sales, Marketing, and Overseas operations to ensure successful conceptualization, development and execution of package design specs are met.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

possesses: 5+ years professional experience in Retail/Consumer Packaging Design and Production (overseas implementation experience needed) no travel needed A track record of excellence in implementing brand and product marketing strategies through design. Excellent knowledge of print production and press practices - Pantone vs. CMYK, how colors are laid on press. Extensive knowledge of dielines, layout and assembly of large format displays and signage. Ability to work independently on a variety of projects under pressure, as well as collaboratively with team members BFA or MFA in Graphic Design or related field Strong MAC skills with extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and, Adobe Photoshop Strong design skill set with high sensitivity to typography and layout Strong time management, interpersonal communication and organizational skills Solid understanding of design process and production including production and Engineering processes Strong work ethic and a whatever it takes and can do attitude 3D/industrial design experience a + -All candidates applying for this position must be authorized to work in the United States If you fit these requirements please send your resume, work history, salary requirements and at least 5 PDF samples of your best work.
