  • $45 /hr Posted May 12, 2026 Our well-known healthcare client is looking for a Brand Designer focused in print & book design.
This is a fully remote role with around 30 hours of weekly work (note the amount of work may vary from week to week). This role is expected to last until 11/20/2026, although there's a possibility it may be extended.
Position Overview:
We're looking for an exceptional Brand Designer with a deep love of craft, typography, and print to help bring our brand to life through beautifully executed book and publishing work. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on creative who thrives in a collaborative environment, sweats the details, and understands the power of consistency in brand storytelling. As a Brand Designer, you'll apply expert design thinking, refined typographic skill, and strong photo art direction to produce consistently elevated work. You'll partner with internal teams and occasional external agencies to develop high-quality book covers and print systems
  • from concept through final production
  • while honoring and pushing the client's established brand guidelines in fresh, meaningful ways.
What You'll Do:
  • Concept, design, and art direct high-end book covers and print materials, ensuring exceptional quality from initial concept through final proof.
  • Develop page layout and template systems, collaborating with production teams who handle typesetting.
  • Oversee key stages of book production, including layout review, proofing, and production finishes (4-color, special finishes, etc.).
  • Work across multiple portfolios and service lines, balancing several projects at once while meeting deadlines and maintaining impeccable standards.
  • Apply and advocate for brand systems, ensuring consistency while finding new, engaging expressions of the brand.
  • Present work clearly and confidently, sharing best practices and creative rationale.
  • Occasionally provide creative oversight and direction to external agency partners.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 4+ years of graphic design experience
  • Must have experience and be proficient with InDesign (including stylesheet templates, 4-color + finishes, etc.) This is a book design/print position NOT digital design
  • must be able to show experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in book design and print production (portfolio samples required).
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign (including stylesheets, templates, and print production workflows).
  • Proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A portfolio showing elevated design thinking and execution across print and integrated campaigns.
A plus if you have:
  • Agency experience
  • Experience across additional disciplines such as photography art direction, video, motion, rich media, emerging media, or audio/sound.
  • A proven ability to bring forward new ideas, methodologies, or efficiencies.
