ABOUT HAPPENSTANCE
Happenstance is a Nashville-born bourbon brand built on the idea that the best moments in life aren't planned. They happen by chance. We're a young, fast-moving spirits company growing quickly across markets, and we're building a team that can match the pace.
THE ROLE
Happenstance is a young brand building its visual language in real time, and we need a designer who can carry that language across every surface a customer touches. From bottle to billboard, social tile to sales sheet, you're the hands that make the brand feel like itself. You'll partner closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager, work in the spaces between trade and digital, and ship work that's as disciplined as it is inventive.
WHAT YOU'LL DRIVE
Design and maintain brand consistency across e-commerce, web, trade, retail, events, social, and internal materials. Create trade and retail marketing assets like posters, neckers, shelf talkers, case cards, and retail displays that pop on shelf and convert at the bar. Produce digital advertising assets for social, email, web, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Integrate Happenstance photography and existing brand assets into refreshed creative without losing brand DNA. Design merchandise and swag in partnership with third-party vendors. Manage specs, proofs, and production end to end. Edit video and photography for social, including reels, TikToks, GIFs, and long-form YouTube, to drive Happenstance forward. Manage multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines simultaneously with grace under pressure. Support label, packaging, presentation, and training-manual design as the brand grows.
WHAT YOU BRING
Fluency in Adobe Suite (Lightroom, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or equivalent design software. A portfolio with range. Print, digital, motion. The more of those you can show, the better. Strong copywriting instincts and an ear for brand voice. You can write the line as well as set it. Experience with print and wholesale vendors, with the chops to spec a job and proof it. Ability to translate creative direction from the CEO and Sr. Marketing Manager into finished work without losing the spark. Highly organized, deadline-disciplined, and unafraid of revisions. You ship and you iterate. A sense of urgency. This brand moves fast, and so do you.
