Copy Center Specialist
PAY PLAN
110 - $ 34,175.00 minimum salary , or as per Compensation Policy Promotional Method. Distinguishing Features of the Position (Summary) The Copy Center Specialist is responsible for providing support including all type of print shop operations utilizing a variety of machinery and equipment. The Copy Center Specialist also has supervisory responsibilities under the direction of the Department Head Essential Functions The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Produces high quality printed products on various paper stocks using an offset press with either metal plates or paper plates Uses paper cutting machine, cuts paper stock to appropriate size and trims finished products as needed Uses automated folder, stitcher and collator as needed, making appropriate adjustments for job to be produced Helps maintain adequate inventory of supplies for efficient print shop operations; Utilizes automatic numbering machine for forms, which require sequential numbering Maintains print shop facility clean, neat manner, may pick up and deliver materials as needed, and perform other duties as may be assigned; Use graphic design software to recreate, design, and update information on documents as needed Supervise employees on the daily work and overseeing finished orders. Provide price quotes and updates on orders to county personnel via telephone or email. Submit requisition for purchase orders to request necessary items for office and orders received from county departments Submit monthly reports to accounts payable on orders that were placed by county departments. Deal with vendors on price quotes, orders, and invoices to be paid in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications High school graduation or its equivalent; Six (6) months experience in a variety of print shop operations. Vocational training imprinting may be substituted for experience; Valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator's License required ;Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Environmental Factors:
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions. This is a Civil Service covered position. Testing requirements will follow section 2.32 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations Handbook. Probationary period will follow section 2.35 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations Handbook.
