Job Description

About us The Living Room Community Church is a non-denominational church in Kennewick, WA. We are innovative, supportive, and operate as a collaborative team in our shared mission of loving God, loving others, and serving the world.

Communications Director Responsibilities:
  • Graphics 1.
Weekly creation of digital and print graphics in support of Sunday services (Program/Slides/Inserts/QR codes). 2. Regular creation and printing of marketing materials for church events, including posters, banners, flyers, backdrops, and signs. 3. Regular creation of logos and graphics for special events. 4. Maintain a cohesive look and feel across all platforms, using graphics that reinforce brand identity.
  • Social Media 1. Create and maintain a rhythm of posting on behalf of TLR on multiple social-media platforms. 2. Accurately represent the culture, ethos, theology, and brand of TLR on all social-media posts.
  • Website Management 1. Maintain a consistent look and feel that accurately reflects ministry at TLR. 2. Create new events, forms, and workflows as needed. 3. Post video of Sunday message to website weekly. 4. Regularly update scrolling banners.
  • Printing 1. Prepare print jobs, including worship programs, posters, banners, and special communication pieces.
  • Film and Photography 1. Take photos and/or create and edit videos as directed. 2. Attend "all hands-on deck" events, including Annual Vision Meeting, Rocktober, Summer Jam, Easter, and Christmas Eve
  • General Communications 1.
Manage communications calendar needs and proactively solicit needed information from other staff members. 2. Format electronic church-wide communications and distribute. 3. Request, proofread, and edit copy submitted by other departments.
Skills and Experience:
1. At least two years' experience working in a fast-paced environment. 2. Able to balance pressing duties with quick creative problem-solving. 3. Working understanding of MacOS and at least one year of experience with Adobe suite products (Premier/Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop). 4. Previous social media management experience. 5. Previous branding and promotional experience. 6. A self-starter. 7. A person who models being humble, resilient, and teachable.
