Job Description

Intermediate Product Designer Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Product Designer for a contractual assignment.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
End?to?end product design Design complete user journeys across web, mobile, and other relevant platforms. Design and evolve user experiences that incorporate AI?assisted capabilities, ensuring outputs are understandable, usable, and aligned with user needs. Translate complex requirements and constraints into clear, intuitive product experiences. Drive interaction models, flows, and experience consistency across features and surfaces. Contribute to or maintain design systems, patterns, and standards. Translate existing legacy application workflows into improved future?state experiences, balancing modernization goals with continuity and minimal disruption for users. Translate product requirements into artifacts that AI systems can consume. User?centred design Conduct usability testing and validation. Iterate designs based on user feedback, data, and observed behaviour. Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and usability best practices. Cross?functional collaboration Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and well implemented. Communicate design rationale clearly to cross?functional stakeholders. Participate in design reviews, critiques, and planning discussions. Design execution Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high?fidelity visual designs using AI-driven technologies and approaches. Apply strong visual and interaction design principles to elevate product quality. Balance speed and quality in iterative delivery environments.
Mandatory Requirements:
6+ years of experience designing digital products and services. Undergraduate degree in a design-related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered). Strong visual and interaction design skills evidenced by a portfolio of end-to-end, user-centered design work. Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design. Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools. Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces. Strong ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
