Full Blown Kustoms is a high-end custom fabrication shop specializing in one-of-a-kind hot rods, race cars, and fully bespoke builds. We combine craftsmanship, performance engineering, and cutting-edge technology to create vehicles that stand out on the street and dominate on the track. Every project is unique, and we pride ourselves on pushing the limits of design and performance.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Automotive Engineer & Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about designing and building custom vehicles from the ground up. You will be responsible for translating ideas into functional, manufacturable designs and working closely with fabricators to bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom chassis, suspension systems, and vehicle components Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Fusion 360 and other CAD software Perform 3D scanning and reverse engineering for custom fabrication projects Prototype parts and systems, including iterative testing and refinement Analyze airflow, aerodynamics, and thermal management for performance optimization Select appropriate materials based on strength, weight, durability, and application Collaborate with fabrication and build teams to ensure designs are practical and executable Contribute to full vehicle builds from concept through completion
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Fusion 360 and CAD design Experience with 3D scanning, prototyping, and product development Deep understanding of chassis design, suspension geometry, and vehicle dynamics Knowledge of aerodynamics, airflow, and performance optimization Solid grasp of material properties and mechanical engineering principles Hands-on experience in automotive, motorsports, or custom fabrication environments preferred Ability to manage multiple custom projects and adapt to unique challenges Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required): CNC machining knowledge or experience CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Welding/fabrication background Motorsports or racing experience
