About the Position Altus Power is seeking a highly motivated UI/UX summer intern to join our Digital Technology team. You'll help design and shape digital products that power solar energy experiences across internal tools, consumer apps, and enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to real product initiatives that shape how people experience clean energy. Go beyond aesthetics. Understand user workflows, uncover pain points, and design solutions that make complex tasks feel effortless. Work side-by-side with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to bring ideas from concept to production. Sketch, wireframe, and build interactive prototypes to validate ideas quickly. Participate in usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate to improve clarity, usability, and delight. Help define patterns and components that scale across multiple products and platforms. Advocate for user needs while considering technical feasibility and business goals. Present your work, explain your decisions, and incorporate feedback with confidence and humility.
Preferred Skills:
Curious and eager to understand problems before jumping to solutions Comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and pixel-level detail Strong sense of craft—you notice clunky interactions, think through edge cases, and aim for polished work Clear communicator who can explain ideas, take feedback, and balance user needs with business and technical constraints Currently pursuing a degree in Design, HCI, or a related field or equivalent experience
Requirements:
