Back Chassis Mounts Design Lead#2016901 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description Design Lead•Chassis Mounts is responsible for system design, development, and engineering release of powertrain mounts, differential mounts, EDM mounts, body mounts, adaptor brackets, and mass damper solutions. The engineer will be responsible for a team that will execute a work plan to achieve the component and system level functional objectives. They will be responsible for executing on-time delivery of components/systems from initial concept through vehicle launch of multiple programs. Project management key process indicators (KPI's) and Quality, Cost, Timing, Performances (QCTP) efficiency will be utilized to monitor progress. Responsibilities include the component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), Product Assurance Plan (PAP), component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support (Stellantis assembly plants and supplier plants), issue management (GIMs), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development. Engineer will also work with multiple support groups (NVH, Dynamics, Safety, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, and CAE) to complete all validation and testing Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,
United States Requirements Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree fieldMinimum of 8 years of chassis structural engineering design and development experience in a product release environmentDemonstrated team leadership abilities including the ability to set targets, evaluate/identify gaps to existing targets, and lead solution activityStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient with Microsoft OfficeExperience in
Chassis Component EngineeringPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
