This opportunity is for a full-time position with Bertrandt US, contracted to work on site at our OEM customer. Work with Supplier(s) to ensure proper upload of data into the OEM system. Part updates and changes to existing parts/assemblies needed to support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and/or changes to interfacing components /systems. Obtain B-Release for provided IP/Console parts. Work with supplier to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverables. Support IP/Console commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolution. Support supplier builds. Some local travel necessary to off-site supplier location. Support onsite builds at the manufacturing/assembly location (come time for pre-production and production builds). Issue resolution for all open IP/Console issues thru build phase(s). Some overnight travel required in future for pre-launch/launch activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) 8+ years experience in engineering Instrument Panel /Console Systems thru all development phases Experience with Catia v5/6 software system and pulling in and cutting sections in data Understanding of Instrument Panel / Console system requirements Experience in DV/PV testing phase for instrument panel / console Fast resolution of open issues for instrument panel / console Strong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA, PFMEA and Control plans Proficient ability to read, speak, and understand English Take direction from OEM's Engineering to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirements German language skills would be a plus (but not required)
