Principal Engineer (Job Code: 1112)

Responsible for providing engineering support and direction within the Wiring Department, focusing on design, change control, and technical issue resolutions; support customer interactions and drive continuous engineering design improvements in line with customer needs and requirements; collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing engineering expertise to ensure the success of client's wiring programs and full car set harnesses; serve as the customer interface, overseeing pivotal aspects of design development and program engineering deliverables; provide engineering guidance throughout the design creation process, ensuring efficient coordination of changes; utilize and apply knowledge of 3D designs/interpretations, 2D drawings, wire harnesses, PPAP, DFMEA, root cause analysis, change control procedures, vehicle complete life cycle development, electrical distribution designs, and continuous improvement initiatives to perform duties; provide engineering support for wire harness and customer vehicle assembly builds across the complete development lifecycle, commencing from the initial prototype phase and extending seamlessly through to the full production launch.

$139,725 per year

Education:

Bachelors - Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).

Training:

None Experience:

Five (5) years in the position above, as a Technical Project Leader, as a Product Development Engineering Supervisor, as a Design Release Engineer, as a Wiring Engineer Lead, or in a related occupation.
