Job Description

The Packaging Technician II (Labels) is responsible for meeting cannabis label regulations by creating Compliance and Strain Labels for a variety of media. The Label Technician job duties include defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. Shapes the visual aspects product packaging, exhibitions and more. Develops compliant Labels with standards set by our Compliance department to capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. Label Tech II hours will be Wednesday through Saturday 6am - 5pm. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create label designs for all products and packagingPrep, Proof and edit all packaging artwork filesMaintain and build a packaging file library of all artwork filesCopywrite and proof-read all artwork files for 100% accuracyCreate proprietary patterns and designs to be used in the designResponsible for creating graphic assets to be used on packaging, apparel, website assets, social media.

Take an idea from brainstorming to final production in print and digitalSuccessfully executes a large volume of revisions to an asset with minimal oversightPrioritize projects and workload for all team members, to meet critical deadlinesWork on multiple assets from packaging to marketing collateralSteward the visual identity, typography, palette, photography, and principal design systems of the brand; evolving where necessaryEnsure all designs are compliant and will pass state approvalsRender experience preferred but not required Bachelors' degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plusMust be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the USUnderstands and speaks print language, colors, and finishes1+ years of product photography masking and touch-up experienceProven graphic designing experienceA strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphicsFamiliarity with design software and technologies2+ years of experience in packaging design
Physical Requirements:
The ability to complete fine motor functions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity. All applicants must be 21 years or older. State/Federal background checks are required.
