Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Project Engineer to take ownership of vendor coordination, materials procurement, and fabrication support across multiple projects. This role is central to keeping projects on schedule and on budget; from sourcing the right parts with the right vendors, to coordinating with sub-contractors to ensure fabricated systems are built correctly and fit within the overall design. A significant portion of this work involves packaging machinery and end-of-line equipment including VFFS (vertical fill form and seal), labelers, conveyors, palletizers, and related systems. The candidate must understand how these machines integrate into a broader production line, and coordinating the parts, vendors, and fabrication work that supports them. The ideal candidate brings real-world fabrication experience, knows how to work through procurement challenges, and can develop conceptual process flow diagrams as well as 2D and 3D layouts to verify that systems and components fit together before build-out begins. We don't need to a pure designer, but an engineer that is comfortable enough with design tools to communicate intent, catch conflicts early, and support the team through full project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience coordinating with vendors and managing procurement across multiple projects Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to develop process flow diagrams and work in 2D/3D CAD environments Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specificationsHighly organized, with strong follow-through on open purchase orders, vendor timelines, and material tracking Clear and professional communicator. Comfortable working across vendors, fabricators, and internal teams

Preferred:

- Sheet metal, CNC, welding, or other fabrication experience Hands-on experience with packaging machinery and end-of-line equipment Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to the work (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, etc.) Experience with ERP or procurement tracking systems Background in food & beverage Associate's degree, trade certification, or vocational training in a mechanical or fabrication discipline English/Spanish bilingual Tools to be
