Job Description SummaryThe Steam Turbine Systems Integration Leader owns the architecture of specific Steam Turbine Product(s). In this role, you will translate customer requirements, technical constraints, commercial objectives, and product application boundaries into a compliant, manufacturable, and release-ready turbine configuration during the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase.
You will provide technical leadership to the application team across project assessment, configuration selection, risk review and release strategy development, supporting a smooth and controlled handoff to the Order-to-Remittance (OTR) organization. This role requires a strong understanding of steam turbine cycle design, product architecture, operability, module selection, and interfacing disciplines, as well as the ability to work closely with application engineering, commercial teams, design teams, quality, and OTR stakeholders. You will also collaborate closely with Product Management, Requisition Engineering and NPI to help ensure GE Vernova delivers best-performing and reliable power generation products.
Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn the steam turbine architecture and application space for product(s) assignedSupport the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) processes, assessing turbine configuration applicability, operating envelope, and product fit within the defined application space, managing risk appropriately.
Own the steam turbine application catalogue content for assigned product(s) and release strategy, inclusive of associated engineering hour estimations for requisition engineeringCollaborate closely with product line, plant system engineering, NPI and component design.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines and controlled title holders on thermodynamics, operability, rotating and structural design.
Deliver on specific NPI programs further developing, improving, standardizing and automating steam turbine engineering processesContribute to defining the product for bidding on customer inquiriesCollaborate with requisition engineering leader to assess business opportunity and evaluate necessary resources and schedule for customer deliveriesIdentify opportunities to apply lean to processes and product offerings to drive cost savings and/or performance improvementsRequired QualificationsB.Sc. Engineering or Physics in the field of Turbomachinery, Thermal Power Generation and Energy System EngineeringMin. 8 years of applicable professional experienceMin. 8 years of demonstrated experience working on steam turbine engineering, including system integration with CC plant and working closely with component engineering teamsMin. 8 years of experience in system integration, product configuration, or application engineeringProficient English language skillsDesired CharacteristicsHigher academic degree may be an advantageDemonstrated experience as a senior engineerAbility to communicate effectively with teams, peers, leadership, and occasionally external customersStrong understanding of steam turbine thermodynamics, cycle design, operability, and performance fundamentalsExperience with turbine module selection, plant configuration, and interface managementExperience with Inquiry-to-Order (ITR) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) processesFamiliarity with engineering risk review processes, design release workflows, and configuration managementStrong documentation, communication, and technical presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and support fast-paced commercial and engineering decision cyclesAbility to work vertically and horizontally with engineers, peers, and leaders across the organizationFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200 and $188,800 Annual USD. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
