- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that enable integrated vehicle systems, efficient manufacturing processes, and key styling themes
- Develop and prototype concepts that improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience
- Drive cross functional product architecture trades between vehicle subsystems (interiors, closures, chassis, thermal, powertrain, electrical distribution, etc.) to determine product direction
- Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems through first principles and concept 3D
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to procure and build physical properties You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering
- or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 5+ years experience in automotive or related field, EV preferred
- Strong engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply broadly to vehicle systems and manufacturing processes
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic work environment
- CAD proficiency in assembly and part design, FEA, and 2D drawings. Catia and 3D Experience preferred Even better, you may have...
- Experience designing and releasing mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
