DUTIES :
Visteon Corporation seeks a Sr. Display & Optics Engineer based out of our office at One Village Center Drive, Van Buren Township, MI. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position does not require travel. The candidate will lead a cross-functional matrixed team of individual contributors through the concept phase, design and execution of early stage technology development prototypes and proofs of concept. Responsible for defining the scope of innovation projects, and leading activities with strategic supplier partners to deliver new, unique and differentiated technology solutions, which directly impact the business performance of Visteon. Responsible for planning for the successful execution of advanced technology projects establishing resource forecasts, material expense forecasts, timing plan, etc., and aligning these expectations with necessary stakeholders from finance, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, etc. Responsible for defining a project execution schedule based on inputs from electronics hardware designers, mechanical designers, software developers, graphical designers and external suppliers/partners. Monitor and manage this schedule and communicate its status to management on a regular basis. Encompass a variety of tasks aimed at improving display technologies for the automotive. Involve updating the FPGA and microcontroller code for image enhancement algorithms developed by the company as well as coming up with new ones. Write papers to describe the algorithm and ability to achieve the patent to protect the technology is very important. Involve hardware knowledge as one has to design and debug the PCB schematics to drive the display with the image enhancement algorithm and to assemble display properties. Display measurements such as assessing luminance and power consumption of each display using tools such as oscilloscope, light meters, and multimeter as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and One (1) years of experience in a related occupation .
Experience must include:
One (1) year of experience in Automotive Display Industry; Experience in FPGA (Verilog and VHDL) and microcontroller (C++) programming; and Experience in Analog and Digital Circuit Design .
OTHER :
