Job Description

Packaging Production Designer- TEMP role Location- Coppell, TX. Hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Job Summary:
The Packaging production designer is an expert in creating packaging layered files to execute packaging designs across various packaging types and materials. Reports to the Manager Brand Packaging.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design, engineering and production of packaging of all At Home brands for internal and Product Partner use. Create, preflight and send accurate production ready layered artwork files. Work closely with Packaging team to execute projects accurately and on time. Evaluate the integrity of the packaging to ensure its quality during shipping and handling in the stores. Create complex computer layout files with linked photos and EPS graphics, to be printed on variable two- and three-dimensional packaging designs and create mock ups. Document clear directions on execution and placement of packaging on products across all categories in the store. Identify PDQ solutions that support multiple products and maintain the PDQ size library. Proofread artwork created by vendors for spelling and consistency, compliance issues and relay any changes, updates or issues. Manage material and color library, including the review and approval to standards. Tour At Home stores as well as competitors on a consistent basis. Effectively manage competing priorities, meet production deadlines and maintain status of projects.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree 1-3+ years of packaging design experience Packaging experience with corrugate, paper, fabric, plastics preferred Expert with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) MS Office product proficiency Must be able to calculate correct sizes and color percentages for packaging Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines Knowledge of print mechanicals, topography and creation of mockups
