Gas Compression Package Designer III

About the Role Skilled Performance is seeking a Gas Compression Designer III for a manufacturing company in Northwest Houston. This role focuses on developing 3D models and 2D drawings for reciprocating natural gas compression packages, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to industry standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings from P&IDs. Interpret project quotes and schedules for multiple projects. Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with engineering/design standards. Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and third parties to resolve design issues. Manage project changes, discrepancies, and drawing schedules. Maintain and improve company design standards.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's, Associate's, Diploma, or Technical Training in

ME, EE, CAD

Technology, or related field (preferred).

Experience:

2+ years in natural gas compression package design or modular assemblies.

Skills:

Proficiency in CadWorx, AutoCAD, Vault, and Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of

ANSI B31.3.

Strong mechanical and structural design ability. Preferred Skills Experience with SolidWorks, power generation, offshore oil & gas, or

COMPRESS

software. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 10 lbs. Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, and working at heights up to 25 feet. Compliance with OSHA regulations and PPE requirements in the shop environment.
