Job Description

Office & Showroom Assistant Hemphill's has been a trusted name in luxury rugs, carpet, and hardwood flooring for generations. As we continue to grow, we are now seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Office & Showroom Assistant to join our team! If you are customer service-oriented, enjoy supporting a collaborative team, have strong organizational skills, and take pride in maintaining a beautiful and welcoming showroom, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a positive attitude make all the difference. You'll work alongside some of Orange County's top interior designers, builders, and homeowners while learning about custom rugs, carpet, and hardwood flooring in a high-end showroom environment. Gaining firsthand experience in the interior design industry. Responsibilities
  • Greet clients, designers, and trade professionals with a warm, polished, and friendly demeanor.
  • Keep showroom appearance looking great. Ability to hang samples and do light cleaning/dusting.
  • Manage all incoming calls, accurately direct inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer support.
  • Assist with daily showroom tasks to ensure a seamless and elevated customer experience.
  • Provide administrative and project‑related support to the sales team as needed.
  • Process paperwork, invoices, and customer documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain organized files, records, and office systems to support efficient operations.
  • Help ensure every visitor receives an exceptional, luxury‑level experience from the moment they arrive. Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • 1-2 years' experience in an office environment with strong clerical skills, familiarity with office management procedures, and customer service. Flooring industry experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational abilities and willing to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced showroom environment.
  • Prior experience handling paperwork, invoicing, scheduling, and general office duties.
  • Exposure to Quickbooks, CRM platforms, email management, and basic computer applications.
  • Interest in interior design, flooring products, or home renovation is a plus.
Pay:
