This is not a traditional design assistant role. It is an opportunity to gain exposure to every aspect of the interior design business—from creative development and project coordination to client relations, product development, operations, and business management. Our firm works on exciting residential and hospitality projects, and we are looking for someone who genuinely loves the design industry and wants to build a long-term career within it. This position is ideal for a highly adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and takes pride in being the person who keeps everything moving forward. What You'll Be Doing This role combines administrative support, design coordination, project management, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Owner and Creative Director with day-to-day business and project activities Coordinating multiple interior design projects simultaneously Managing schedules, meetings, calendars, and project timelines Tracking project deliverables and ensuring strong follow-through on all tasks Communicating with clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and project teams Assisting with design presentations, specifications, and material selections Coordinating procurement, orders, and product deliveries Working with overseas factories and suppliers on product development initiatives Managing communication with international vendors and manufacturers Overseeing social media content coordination and brand consistency Supporting marketing initiatives and company growth efforts Maintaining project documentation, spreadsheets, and internal systems Assisting with budgeting, invoicing, and administrative processes Coordinating local and remote team members to ensure project milestones are met Identifying problems proactively and implementing creative solutions Supporting special projects as needed across all areas of the business Who You Are You are someone who: Is passionate about interior design and the luxury design industry Enjoys working in a highly dynamic environment where every day is different Naturally takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion Has exceptional organizational and time-management skills Is detail-oriented and highly accountable Is comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Has excellent communication and client-relations skills Thrives under pressure and can adapt quickly to changing priorities Is proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented Enjoys both creative and operational responsibilities Wants to learn, grow, and develop within the interior design field Required Skills AutoCAD Basic Revit knowledge (advanced proficiency is a significant plus) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Google Workspace QuickBooks AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other productivity tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Project coordination and scheduling experience Client-facing communication experience Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Preferred Skills Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Canva Procurement and FF&E experience Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting Social media management and content planning (Supervising) Experience working with international vendors and manufacturers Understanding of product development processes Luxury residential design experience What We Offer Exposure to every facet of a thriving interior design business Opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced Creative Director Career growth and professional development opportunities Involvement in exciting, high-end projects A collaborative and creative work environment The chance to build a meaningful career in design while developing both creative and business expertise If you are highly organized, love design, enjoy solving problems, and are excited by the idea of contributing across multiple areas of a growing firm, we would love to hear from you.
