Operations Manager Part-Time | 20 Hours Per Week Kamber Mason Design | Marin County, California About Kamber Mason Design Kamber Mason Design is a growing interior architecture and design studio specializing in thoughtful, highly personalized residential remodels and custom homes. Our work blends beauty and functionality through a holistic design process that transforms how clients live in their homes. We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who can help build the structure, systems, and processes needed to support a thriving boutique design firm. Position Overview We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Operations Manager who can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate has prior experience in an interior design, architecture, construction, or similarly project-based creative business and understands the unique operational demands of client service firms. This role is part-time at approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to remain part-time or grow into a full-time leadership position as the company expands. As Operations Manager, you will work directly with the Principal to build and refine business systems, support day-to-day operations, improve efficiency, and help create the infrastructure needed to scale the firm successfully. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations Develop and implement operational systems, workflows, and procedures Create structure and accountability across projects and internal processes Manage calendars, scheduling, and business administration Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning Assist with vendor relationships and business partnerships Help establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) Human Resources & Team Support Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee administration Assist in developing organizational structure as the firm grows Maintain employee records and operational documentation Help foster a positive and professional team culture Design Studio Operations Coordinate vendor communications and product sourcing logistics Organize and maintain the studio materials library Assist with procurement tracking and project administration Support project workflows and communication between clients, vendors, and consultants Help establish systems that support future design staff growth Marketing & Business Development Assist with social media scheduling and content coordination Support marketing initiatives, events, and business development efforts Help maintain CRM systems and client communication processes Coordinate implementation of branding and promotional initiatives Qualifications Minimum 3 years of operations management experience Experience in interior design, architecture, construction, real estate development, luxury residential services, or a related field strongly preferred Proven ability to create systems, processes, and organizational structure Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Self-starter who can work independently and anticipate needs Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing entrepreneurial environment Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management software Experience with QuickBooks, CRM systems, and design industry software is a plus What We're Looking For You are someone who loves bringing order to creative businesses.
