The Kitchen & Bath Designer will work alongside our senior team to to design custom cabinet packages for our kitchen and bath projects. Canidates should demonstrate a strong self-starter attitude and acute attention to detail. Experience with 20/20, SketchUp, OR AutoCAD required. We are seeking an experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer to work on cabinet design and space layout. Heartwood designs bespoke and functional interior spaces- including kitchens, bathrooms, closets, mudrooms, and more. As a Kitchen Designer, you will collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, translating them into design documents as well as orders through our outside vendors. Your role will involve utilizing your expertise to create aesthetically pleasing layouts while ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. Responsibilities Meet with clients to assess their needs, preferences, and budget for kitchen and bathroom remodels or new installations. Create detailed design concepts using 20/20, SketchUp, OR AutoCAD, to visualize layouts, lighting plans, and material selections. Develop comprehensive project proposals including specifications, color schemes based on color theory principles, and lighting designs that enhance space functionality and aesthetics. Prepare accurate construction documents for seamless collaboration with trade partners and our team of installers. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure designs are executed accurately within scope and budget. Conduct site visits during renovation or remodeling phases to oversee installation quality and resolve any design-related issues promptly. Assist in sales efforts by presenting design ideas confidently to clients and providing expert advice on lighting sales, fixtures, materials, and finishes. Experience Experience as a Kitchen and Bath Designer or interior designer specializing in cabinetry, remodeling, or renovation projects. Experience with drafting software such as 20/20, SketchUp, AutoCAD. Some knowledge of construction processes including remodeling techniques, lighting design principles, budgeting strategies, and contract management. Some familiarity with project management practices to coordinate multiple projects efficiently from concept through completion.
