Contract Interior Design Assistant (As-Needed Basis)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and dependable Contract Interior Design Assistant to support a growing portfolio of residential and commercial interior design projects. This opportunity is ideal for a college student looking for extra summer work, particularly someone studying interior design, architecture, or another creative field. While an interior design background is preferred, it is not mandatory. This is an as-needed contract position with flexible hours that may vary week to week depending on project demands. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, tech-savvy, and comfortable supporting high-profile projects requiring discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Attend occasional local meetings and site visits Take organized meeting notes and track action items Assist with mood boards, presentations, and design research Help organize samples, materials, and project information Perform light administrative support and data entry Assist with vendor communication and product sourcing Help maintain project trackers, CRMs, and digital organization systems Support social media and behind-the-scenes content capture when needed Assist with onboarding and operational tasks for new projects

Requirements:

Strong organizational and communication skills Interest in interior design, architecture, or creative industries Ability to multitask and work independently Proficient with basic office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, CRMs, and Canva Reliable transportation for occasional local meetings Professional appearance and demeanor Must be willing to sign an NDA due to confidential and high-profile projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Interior design or creative industry experience preferred Current college student or recent graduate encouraged to apply Familiarity with Canva, Pinterest, Instagram, or design software is a plus Experience assisting with administrative or creative project coordination preferred Schedule Flexible / As-Needed Weekday availability preferred with occasional evening flexibility for events or meetings.

Location:

Position is based in downtown Macon with occasional local meetings, site visits, and project support throughout the surrounding area.

Transportation Requirement:

Candidate must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling locally for meetings, material pickups, vendor visits, and occasional site visits as needed.
