Full Job Description Stone Countertop Template and CAD Location:
On-site in Indianapolis, IN Our client is growing its custom surfaces operation and is looking for a detail-focused professional who can help turn field measurements into polished, production-ready results. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, working directly with customers, and partnering with internal teams to keep countertop projects accurate, efficient, and on track. The position blends site measurement, documentation, and CAD-based layout work to support a high-quality experience from template through fabrication. This Role Offers

  • Visit homes and project sites to capture exact field dimensions and installation conditions for custom surface work
  • Review layout details with customers, including sink positioning, edge selections, seam planning, backsplash needs, and other project-specific considerations
  • Document site conditions with clear notes, measurements, and photos to support downstream production
  • Use CAD tools to prepare accurate templates and layouts for stone fabrication and installation
  • Coordinate with sales, fabrication, and operations teams to help avoid errors and keep projects moving on schedule
  • Confirm that drawings and specifications align with real-world site conditions before release to production
  • Maintain organized job records and communicate updates clearly across stakeholders
  • Support quality standards by helping ensure finished work reflects approved dimensions and design intent Skill Set
  • Experience in countertop templating, installation, fabrication, CAD drafting, or a related field-based measurement role
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
  • Comfort taking detailed field measurements and translating them into accurate digital layouts
  • Understanding of countertop materials, fabrication flow, and installation requirements
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presence with homeowners, builders, and internal teams
  • Highly organized approach with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites Preferred Background
  • Experience in custom stone, quartz, granite, or other hard surface projects
  • Familiarity with digital measuring tools, laser templating systems, or construction documentation practices
  • Ability to read plans and recognize site conditions that may affect fabrication or install success
Pay:
$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
