- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, outgoing designer to assist our retail and builder customers with selecting their interior finishing needs.
We are a family owned and operated flooring retailer with a beautiful showroom located in Maple Grove Minnesota. We supply & install carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, LVT/LVP, ceramic tile, and countertops. We are family orientated, faith first, flexible, treat others the way you want to be treated company. We are looking for somebody committed and eager in helping us grow and to become a part of the Grand Design family! Key Responsibilities Through self-research and meeting with our valued and trusted reps, you will learn about the different products we offer and stay up to date on the newest styles. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets; translate these insights into innovative design solutions. Manage multiple projects from concept through construction, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Following all jobs through completion with open and constant communication with the homeowners, contractors, builders and the Grand Design estimating, scheduling and field staff. Key Skills & Qualifications Design experience is preferred, but training could be provided for the right candidate. Experience in managing projects from initial concept through completion. Strong organizational and multitasking skills in project management and budgeting. Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with clients and team members. Knowledge of contracts related to interior design services and construction oversight a plus. Knowledge of the latest trends in interior design, technology tools such as 3D rendering software and MS office applications. Because we know the importance of family, we try to be flexible with schedules, but we will require a willingness to work one Saturday a month (9am-1pm) and possibly one late night (until 7pm) a week.
