DESIGN ASSISTANT
Pearson Design Group Interiors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our Interiors team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or emerging designer with 0-3+ years of experience who is passionate about high-end residential design and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support lead designers through all phases of the design process Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, materials, and accessories Prepare presentations, finish schedules, and client deliverables Maintain project documentation, specifications, and material libraries Coordinate samples, vendor communications, and product research Assist with furniture procurement, order tracking, and project administration Help prepare drawings, floor plans, elevations, and design presentations Attend project meetings, site visits, photoshoots, and installations as needed Maintain organized project files and ensure accurate documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field 0-3+ years of experience in interior design or a related industry Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Strong eye for design, color, materials, and furnishings Knowledge of high-end residential furnishings and finish materials is a plus Experience with Studio Designer or project management software is a plus Available 40 hours a week
