Position Summary:
Hatley Pointe is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Resort Architect and Interior Designer to help shape the guest experience across our growing mountain resort. This role will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing interior and architectural projects that align with the resort's vision, brand standards, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will blend aesthetics, functionality, and hospitality design principles to create memorable spaces for guests and team members alike. Duties Develop interior design concepts, space plans, and architectural layouts for resort facilities, including lodging, restaurants, retail spaces, lounges, guest service areas, and employee facilities. Create design presentations, renderings, mood boards, and material selections for leadership review. Coordinate with ownership, contractors, engineers, vendors, and operational departments to ensure successful project execution. Manage project timelines, budgets, and procurement of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). Ensure designs meet building codes, ADA requirements, safety regulations, and hospitality industry standards. Conduct site visits and oversee construction and installation to ensure design intent is achieved. Source furniture, finishes, lighting, artwork, décor, and specialty materials that enhance the resort experience. Assist with renovations, capital improvement projects, and new development initiatives throughout the property. Maintain consistency with Hatley Pointe's brand identity and long-term master plan. Evaluate guest feedback and operational needs to continuously improve resort spaces. Skills Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. 3+ years of experience in hospitality, resort, hotel, commercial, or residential design preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar design software. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and project management practices. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
