We are growing our design team and hiring across three levels — Intern, Part-time Junior Designer, and Full-time Interior Designer — to support residential and commercial projects from concept through installation. What You'll Do Develop interior design concepts, including space planning, layout, style direction, and material coordination for residential and commercial spaces. Design custom cabinetry, including kitchens, vanities, wardrobes, closets, storage cabinets, TV units, and display cabinets. Responsibilities include layouts, internal configurations, door styles, hardware selection, and material coordination. Lead material application and pairing across tiles, sintered stone, wall panels, flooring, wood veneer, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and hardware. Produce 2D/3D drawings, renderings, mood boards, material boards, and design presentations. Communicate with clients, understand project needs, present design concepts, and revise plans based on feedback. Support site measurement, dimension checks, and coordination with installation, construction, and supply-chain teams to ensure accurate project execution. Qualifications & SkillsRequired Experience in interior design, custom cabinetry, or material selection. Familiarity with residential and commercial design workflows, including floor plans, space functionality, circulation, and client needs. Understanding of basic custom cabinetry structures and use cases. Strong material-pairing sense; familiarity with or willingness to learn finish materials. Solid aesthetic judgment across color, texture, material, and spatial atmosphere. Ability to read and produce basic drawings, including floor plans, elevations, dimension sheets, cabinet diagrams, and renderings. Detail-oriented, collaborative, responsible, and able to deliver work on schedule. Software Proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred:
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is preferred. Rendering experience with Enscape, V-Ray, 3ds Max, or Revit is a plus. Full proficiency in all listed software is not required. Preferred Background in interior design, architecture, environmental design, furniture design, or industrial design. Experience in kitchen and bath design, closet design, whole-home customization, material showrooms, home renovation companies, or design studios. Experience with NYC-area residential, apartment, or commercial renovation projects. Experience with client communication, material sampling, site measurement, quoting support, or project follow-up. Familiarity with American, modern, light-luxury, minimalist, Nordic, Japandi, or contemporary design styles. Bilingual Chinese-English communication ability is preferred but not required.
