Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic interior design team as an Interior Design Assistant and bring inspiring spaces to life! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in interior design, project management, and technical drafting while supporting creative projects from concept to completion. You'll collaborate with experienced designers, contribute to innovative designs, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to transforming spaces into functional works of art. Responsibilities Assist in creating detailed interior design plans using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite. Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure timely project delivery. Prepare presentation materials and mood boards that incorporate color theory, lighting design, and material selections to communicate design concepts effectively. Draft construction documents, renovation plans, and remodeling layouts while ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications. Collaborate with the team on lighting sales strategies, lighting design projects, and specifications for various interior spaces. Maintain organized project files and documentation related to contracts, specifications, and client communications. Skills Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (3ds Max), Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization. Strong understanding of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, space planning, and material selection. Experience with CAD drafting, construction documentation, remodeling processes, and renovation projects. Knowledge of project management practices such as scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to contracts and construction details. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members. Passion for interior design trends along with a keen eye for detail in lighting sales and remodeling projects.
