Job Description
Please submit your resume and examples of your work with a cover letter that tells us about you. We are looking for an interior designer with 3+ years of professional experience to undertake a variety of detailed and technical roles in our projects. You will assist with the design process from conceptual development and construction documents, budgeting through ordering, tracking, and installing. You will help create the MURRAY signature of functional, relatable, and timeless spaces for our residential and commercial clients while using your design experience, innovative ideas, and industry knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited design school is required. NCIDQ not required, but that learning path is encouraged Reliable car & able to drive to local site visits, vendor visits, etc. Ability to lift heavy samples, help shift small furniture items, etc. Ambitious and enthusiastic Responsibilities Assist with taking interior design projects from concept to completion Order goods, manage shipments and tracking Build and maintain client budgets Research and weigh in on materials and products sourcing, order samples Assist with installations and photo shoots Work closely with designers, clients, vendors, and consultants Helping with general office tasks, including keeping up with emails Creative talent, imagination and eye for design Skills This position relies heavily on AutoCAD 2D plans and elevations, and examples of your work will be required. Knowledge of construction methods and materials for high end environments, InDesign presentations, Photoshop image adjustment, Dropbox file management, & knowledge of furniture, finishes, fixtures, materials, vendors, color selection, and detailed specifications. Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop are required. Gmail, Pinterest, Sketchup, Squarespace, Instagram, and Quickbooks experience is appreciated Communication and presentation skills, attention to spelling, formatting, and grammar Interpersonal skills, and friendly personality. Multitasker. Working in a fast paced but supportive environment are most important. Be willing to offer suggestions for improving workflow & organization.
