Job Title:
Interior Designer Job Description The Interior Designer will play a crucial role in a collaborative office environment, contributing to all phases of Corporate Interiors Projects. This includes tasks such as programming, schematic design, and the production of construction documents using Revit Architecture. The designer will also work closely with owners and contractors throughout the Construction Administration phase. Responsibilities Engage in all project phases, from initial programming to final construction. Develop schematic designs that align with client needs and project goals. Produce detailed construction documents using Revit Architecture. Interface regularly with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Develop and present presentation materials to clients. Attend client presentations to discuss design concepts and project progress. Assist with business development by fostering strong client relationships. Collaborate with owners and contractors during the construction phase. Ensure that design specifications are met and address any issues that arise. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit Architecture with 3+ years of commercial interiors professional experience. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 5+ years of experience as an Interior Designer working on Corporate Interiors/Commercial office, hospitality, or retail Interiors projects. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. Additional Skills & Qualifications Keen interest in client interaction and business development. Ability to interact with clients effectively. Experience with space planning, corporate interiors, commercial office, mixed use, and interior architecture. Work Environment The office setting is collaborative and dynamic, offering opportunities for professional growth and development. The firm is award-winning, with a team-oriented and energetic atmosphere that encourages creativity. The office comprises 17 people, with a focus on quick turnaround projects in corporate interiors. It is an open studio environment that fosters collaboration and resource sharing. The company is family-oriented and provides a fun work environment with outings and volunteer opportunities. Team members have the opportunity to run their projects independently and advance their careers from Designer to Project Manager to Studio Manager. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Falls Church, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.86/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
