Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-Time Interior Designer with strong CAD proficiency to join our creative team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients and project teams to develop innovative interior design solutions that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. Your expertise in drafting, color theory, and design software will be instrumental in transforming concepts into compelling visual presentations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, including renovations, remodeling, and lighting design, while gaining valuable experience in project management and client relations. Duties Create detailed interior design plans and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max Develop comprehensive presentations utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively Assist in selecting color schemes, materials, lighting fixtures, and furnishings that align with client preferences and project requirements Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets, timelines, and scope of work for renovation and remodeling projects Prepare construction documents and specifications for contractors, ensuring clarity and accuracy Support the bidding process by reviewing contracts, scope of work, and lighting sales proposals Participate in site visits to oversee renovation progress, ensuring designs are executed as planned and within budget Requirements Proven proficiency in CAD programs including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, 3ds Max, and Bluebeam Strong knowledge of interior design principles, drafting techniques, color theory, lighting design, and construction processes Experience with project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors Familiarity with contracts related to interior projects and remodeling procedures Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members to translate ideas into actionable plans Knowledge of lighting sales strategies and renovation best practices is a plus Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their interior design expertise while actively contributing to innovative projects.
