Job Description

Sr. Interior Designer Essential functions and responsibilities
  • Manage multiple commercial interiors projects
  • Skilled in all phases of design process - programming, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications and material selections required for construction
  • Develop selection of furniture systems/ specifications. Coordinate and collaborate with furniture vendor through ordering and installation of materials
  • Manage client expectations and consultant coordination
  • Produce design drawings in AutoCAD & Revit
  • Knowledge of current building codesNonessential functions and responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Ability to work well in teams and with multiple disciplines
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Creative Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is preferred Required Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Licensed Interior Designer CID (in Maryland)
  • 5-10+ years of work experience
  • 5-10+ years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD Preferred Experience
  • Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Enscape and Sketch Up
  • Experience in construction document development, finish selection and space planning/programming Working Conditions JMT Architecture offers a hybrid work schedule.
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and t are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
