Intermediate Interior Designer K&L Interiors Seattle, WA Job Details Part-time | Contract $30 - $40 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Renderings 3D modeling software Interior layout drawings Microsoft Office Dimensioning in interior design Attention to detail Residential design (architectural design tasks) Organizational skills Budgeting Professional art or design Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented individual with excellent technical skills to join our residential interior design studio as an Intermediate Interior Designer. The designer will assist with sourcing, creating design documents, producing interior architectural drawings, and will use their creativity to come up with project-specific design ideas. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a desire to expand their design capabilities and grow within our organization. Duties
  • Source products for construction and furnishing projects.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing and product information.
  • Make client proposals for procurement purposes.
  • Contribute space planning ideas.
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations and detail drawings in AutoCAD, as well as build 3D design options in SketchUp.
  • Produce renderings for client presentations.
  • Create FF&E schedules.
  • Make design boards, budget outlines, and other project documents for client communication and presentations.
  • Assist and take notes during client meetings.
  • Assist with site measurements.
  • Correspond with project team member.
  • Work within client timelines and budgets.
  • Run office and project related errands.
  • Maintain our office material library.
  • Etc. Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years of residential interior design experience required.
  • Self-starter and problem solver.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and follow-through.
  • Creative, has an eye for design and an ability to think outside the box.
  • Experience with space planning.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to produce accurate, detailed construction drawings and specification documents.
  • Experience with AI rendering tools.
  • Knowledge of current residential building codes.
  • Familiarity with industry vendors and local showrooms.
  • Must provide your own transportation for running errands and traveling to and from client project locations.
  • Experience with Studio Designer software is a plus.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
