These contract positions run from August 19, 2026, through May 20, 2027, supporting inclusive classrooms in an educational setting near Soldotna, AK. Qualifications:
National Sign Language Interpreter Certification required Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience interpreting in educational or school settings is preferred Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills Commitment to confidentiality and ethical interpreting standards
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear, accurate interpretation for deaf or hard-of-hearing students across classroom activities, assemblies, and school functions Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and staff Adapt interpreting style to suit individual communication needs, grade levels, and activities Support IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other educational events as needed Maintain detailed records of interpreting assignments and student engagement Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure full student participation
