Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time, onsite opportunity in Brewton, AL seeks skilled professionals to serve as Sign Language Interpreters (SLI) and an American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher for the 2023-2024 academic year. The role involves working within K-12 educational settings across multiple schools, supporting students requiring ASL services and instruction. Two openings for Sign Language Interpreters are available, positioned at three schools serving grades K-12. Additionally, there is one opening for a Teacher specializing in American Sign Language, focusing on grades K-4 at a separate school. This contract role requires proficiency in sign language interpretation, clear communication skills, and the ability to engage with students in diverse classroom environments.
