Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a sign language interpreter working 1:1 with a 4th-grade student in a general education classroom. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every school day by helping to foster both academic growth and social engagement through clear, accessible communication. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, providing 30 hours per week from 7:50 am to 2:15 pm alongside an energetic classroom and school community. Your expertise will contribute directly to the student's educational access and daily confidence.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) as a paraprofessional Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is highly valued Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and support staff Commitment to supporting equitable communication access and inclusive education Passion for working one-on-one with elementary-aged children to foster growth and self-advocacy
Responsibilities:
