Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or demonstrated fluency as an ASL paraprofessional Prior experience interpreting in educational settings or working with school-aged children preferred Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times Strong organizational skills and punctuality

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 interpretation services for a fourth-grade student in a mainstream classroom environment (7:50 am

• 2:15 pm) Accurately interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and school events for the student Support classroom participation and facilitate social engagement Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to ensure effective communication strategies Maintain clear records related to interpreting services and student progress Adapt techniques and approaches as needed to best serve the student's needs
