  • We are seeking skilled and compassionate
  • Educational Sign Language Interpreters
  • to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a school setting. This role is essential in facilitating communication between students, teachers, and staff to ensure full access to classroom instruction, activities, and educational discussions. Interpreters will primarily utilize

    • Daily Shift:
    • 6.75 hours per day +
    • Days:

    • Key Responsibilities
    • + Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language + Support students in classroom instruction and school activities + Collaborate with SPED teams and school staff + Maintain professional standards and confidentiality
    • Minimum Requirements
    • + Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or related field (preferred) + Valid certification per state requirements, such as: + Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) + Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) + Educational Sign Skills Evaluation (ESSE) or equivalent (as required under California State Law) + Must comply with all federal, state, and local requirements + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + Health screenings (TB test, physical, etc.
