Key Qualifications:

EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) as a paraprofessional Prior experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers Comfortable providing 1:1 support to elementary-age students Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, professional demeanor

Role Responsibilities:

Serve as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a 4th grade student in a general education classroom Assist in classroom activities, ensuring access to instruction, discussions, and social interactions Work collaboratively with the teaching staff and special education team to support individualized learning goals Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies at all times Work hours: 7:50am - 2:15pm, totaling 30 hours per week throughout the school term
